I watched it last night. Vince is a great musician and singer, and John plays so great, always just the right thing in just the right place, just the right way. He is irreplacable. I don't care much for Martina. She yells and I can't stand that, although she does have a great voice.

Fred: We must be blood brothers.
My wife just loves Martina. I don't know the lady, but I can't stand the way she yells songs. I don't call it singing. At least her voice doesn't screech like some of the female "artists". I call them artists because they can't play anything. They aren't good enough to be sidemen.

Ooh, just thinking about screeching, I just can't stand to listen to most of the Dixie Chicks songs on the radio today. They've just too much of that Alanis Morisette whiney thing to them for my taste. Most kids my age just eat them up, and with that one exception, they've got excellent steel and dobro playing. But I can't stand their voices.

I know it's sortof off-topic, but the "yelling" songs comment made me think of them.

Michael,
I've recently been given a commission from the Canadian Government to travel the world apologizing for Alanis Morrisette.
I'm sorry, I'm really, really sorry.

John, You should be sorry. It's all your fault. Don't do it again.
