Is Steve Azar a country singer? I've never heard of him, and am curious to know.

Well? Not so hot tonight. I like Steve Wariner. I've always been a fan and he did good tonight with my older twin backing him up however, I've never been a big Whites fan but they are traditional and original and I have the utmost respect for them and I support them. T. Graham "I can't sing" Brown had not steel, style or anything else, PERIOD! Who in the hell ever told Steve Azar that he could sing? Better still, what idiot ask him to perform tonight on the opry. He isn't even a "flash in the pan" act! He was an embarassment to country music and the Opry. Joel Sonnier is funny and I enjoy Cajun music. He is a good performer and sincere. All in all, this was really not worth watching tonight. Tommy, you looked good sitting back there. I said good, not pretty!!!!

I enjoyed the whites better than anything else on the show. I think Steve Wilkinson did a great job on both acoustic guitar and Dobro. I noticed that on his guitar ride he used thumb and fingerpicks (like you're supposed to). He's also pretty hot on the pedal steel and I've seen him with Charley Louvin playing electric guitar at which he's no slouch!

Probably one of the suits in the record business. Fooled him didn't they?

Last night POPRY was amongst one of the worst. I kept hoping for some signs of what the Grand ole Opry is supposed to be only the Whites came close to honoring their commitment.

Mike W..........You said it better than I could, except for your comment on the Cajun singer, Bad! just plain bad, and I like most Cajun music.
Just got my satellite TV hooked up, couldn't get CMT on my cable. If CMT was the only reason I went with Sat. TV I would have declared it a waste of money based on last nights show. Fortunatly I had other reasons.

Nope, no steel on the TV segment, but Tommy did some super work behind others on the radio broadcast. Sounded great backing up Billy Walker. All can get the radio broadcast by logging on to opry.com. And nice work, Steve, on acoustic and resonator. Hope you signed double on that card!

Long live The Whites!!! They are just about my favorite Opry regulars. True music right there, folks. Can't get any better in my book- for the kind of music they do.
