I have been looking for anything by Leon.I saw him back or around 1972 in Nashville when I was a little kid.He sang a song called Meet My Bitter Half.Does anyone have the record or the words to this song.He was on the E.Tubb Record Shop show.Thanks andyalfor@aol.com

Andy,
I ran into Leon,just a couple o' months ago, at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Couldn't believe it. Hadn't seen him in 20 yrs. I think he's living somewhere up around Wheeling,W.V. now.
Sorry,no address on him.

Way back in 1977 my band backed up Leon Douglas on a show in Palmer, Mass. Between shows Leon was playing my Sho-Bud Lloyd Green and he asked if he could play steel on a couple of songs. He played backup on two songs in the second show and sounded pretty good! It makes sense that he lives around Wheeling. He was a big name on the Wheeling Jamboree for many years.
