Do you have this CD? When I first played it, I didn't care much for it, I was too used to having Webb Pierce doing the numbers. But, last night I gave it another spin and really enjoyed it. There's a lot of steel on it and the pedal pushers are doing the same arrangements as when Webb originally recorded the material. Good stuff!!

I was anxus when I heard from folks with promo copies back in Nov. The only weekness
seems to be some vocals are to low in the mix.
I have several favoretes but my dissappointment is Guy Clark's version of Honky Tonk Song.

So far for the year 2002, Caught in the Webb is one of my favorite CDs. I agree with the Guy Clark cut. I have always enjoyed Guy, but if I didn't have the liner notes I would have to try real hard at guessing who it was. At first I thought it was the Tractors. Guy seems out of place on this one. A lot of good cuts. Starts out stong with Dale Watson doing In the Jailhouse Now. |

I was kind of suprised to see that Gail Davies was the producer of this CD. I really liked the song she did but didn't know she could produce. The last I saw and heard of her was with Reba McIntyre (I think) and she was showing a lot of cleavage. I guess it pays to advertise! What do I know.
