No Way!
Somebody Stuck a ShoBud Decal on a Strat Neck, Besides When Music City Mfg Sold out in the Late 70's, There were no 3 pickup Teles.
Ain't no way, Shot, David or Harry would make a copy of a Strat Headstock and Neck and put one of their Decals on it. They would have had too much to lose, since they were building steels for Fender around that time.
This is probably a Mex Nashville Tele With aftermarket pickups.
Ebay is a lot like TV, Don't believe anything you see on it.

Push/Pull pick ups? I had one of these in high school. It was a Ford Courier. |

He's probably talking about push/pull pots which coil tap or "split" the pickups. |

I have heard of guitars like that before, a lot of strange instruments came out of the factory. I was in Bobbe Seymours store one time in the early 80's and saw what I thought was a Gibson Les Paul that was a close copy made at the Sho~Bud factory. It had a Sho~Bud logo on the headstock. It was a nice guitar. Saw another one just like it at George Gruhns in Nashville about a year later. Check with Bobbe, he could give you the straights on the E-Bay axe.

I contacted the seller and he e-mailed me back saying that he got the guitar at a guitar show and he has no authentication for it.
This guitar (especially the headstock)reminds me of the 'St. Blues' Teles made by Strings & Things in Memphis. Any ideas?[This message was edited by Michael Holland on 06 March 2002 at 08:06 AM.] |

Since it's not an ad, and it's not about steel, I'm moving this from "Buy & Sell" to "Music".
