I read a review about these guys and they sound interesting, although other reviews don't say much good.

Does anyone know them and their music?

Also the review says that there is alot of pedal steel, but the reviews on Amazon say it's Lap steel, I guess that's par for the course.

Very little pedal steel here. A lot of the tracks I've listened to are similar to the old Byrds songs, or maybe Beatles "loose" R&B songs like "Tax Man" (with a definite British twang). Some of their stuff sounds quite strange, bordering more on tonalities and sounds than on songs, but maybe it's a different group altogether because they spell it B-E-A-C-H-W-O-O-D.

same band, they have two discs out, the first is self-titled, and the second is titled 'once we were trees'. both are on subpop. i love both of them. the first one is the strongest, nice lap steel, byrdish (not pop byrds, but sweethearts era-ish) the second one is a continuation of the first recording session, then some more recent material. the second one sounds 'hippier' than the first one. worth checkin out.

Oh, okay now I know who you mean.
I hear them on indie radio a bit, nice sound.
SubPop has really involved into a funky label, very diverse.
