......She posted it in another thread. I just want to have somewhere to comment/argue about it afterwards. From the lineup, I don't think there are going to be any arguments. She's welcome to change it if she wants to, I won't mind. Image

seg-`ment

Seg-ment to say the televised hour of the Opry but thought it more in-portain to use portion in-stead. Stead said that it didn't feel too good in so he took it out.

......any questions? Pat Burns will gladly answer them. Image

I'm guessing Connie Smiths first song was cut
from TV coverage. What did I miss? As for Johnny Cox that was !!!!!!!!!!!!

I was disappointed that they cut one of Connies numbers. Johnnie did a wonderful job as usual. I enjoyed the show with the exception of Mark Wills. I just dont care for that style. Alan Jackson was fantastic!!
Still too much Yak, Yak, IMHO.I dont think I'll be watching next week. The lineup did'nt sound like anything I would want to see. Maybe it will change!

don'tcha know the correct spelling is...
"telavised portain"??

well, in reality it isn't... but Janice has been posting the Opry lineup for so long... and I'll admit that the "speller" in me was initially a little taken aback by the incorrect spelling.... however I'm so used to it by now (and the world's famous Busgal is a dear friend of mine) so I kinda look upon the phrase "telavised portain" with with a bit of an affectionate smile.....

I taped the TV portion and listened to WSM on the way to my gig. Connie's first song was "Once A Day", only a "minor" hit that didn't deserve TV viewing. Image Image
