I hope they cut Phil Vasser and NOT Linda Davis. The Osborne Bros. instead of Del McCoury? Sorry Theresa, maybe next week!

Jack, are we talking about coffee, shoe odor or physical strength? I would like it better if Jean Shepard hosted and Phil Vasser has 2 flat tires on his way to the Opry. I haven't seen Linda Davis in a long time but I've always liked her so with the exception of Phil, it will be OK!

I'd rather look at Linda Davis(wishing I was related to her) than listening to Phil Vasser..TV time for "Jumpin Bill" is Ok with me anyone who reaches 90 years of age deserves the spotlight even if George Riddle has to drive him there every night (got to be the gut bombers White Castle burgers that keeps old Bill going) .Jim Ed Bruce is ok too if he features more of Darryl's Steel.

Mike, If it was any "stronger" I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

Now if they had a lineup with Gene Watson,
Dale Watson, etc on TV....

Theresa.
Phil was on the Opry when my wife and I went in Sept. I suppose the young folks would say he looks real good in leather pants, but IMHO he's not a good singer. But to each his own as they say.

I forgot about Dave Robbins with Jean Sheppard (steel with vocal accompaniment).

Dave, don't forget my wife's slide.

Theresa.
The night we were there he did'nt play the piano. He ran up, and down the stage a lot (Ala Garth Brooks). I'm certainly glad that you enjoy his performances. He made it to the Opry, and that's something I coul'nt do, and I tried believe me!

I should have guessed with 2 hosts that there would not be live TV coverage.

What I saw, last night, was rerun segments from previous Oprys, not a live telecast.

I'll give Tommy White an A+ for his backing of Joe Diffie. The shot I saw Tommy looked like he was trying to figure out what to do or looking for some kind of hint from Diffie's band, but what Tommy was doing sounded like he knew exactly what to do.

It's brutaly unfair to have to watch Boss Hogs sister, on a re-run, & I picked that night to cancel a far away gig, "because of a little snow" & stay at the house & watch the Opry! It's just not fair!
