Last night Gene spoke of his new CD which is soon to be released. Anybody know who'll be playing steel? I know Buddy has played on a lot of Gene's recent recordings. |

Congratulations on the Gene Watson session work, Gregg. You too Buddy.
I will look forward to this release, perhaps around the time of my September birthday?
I've told this story before, but it's relevant here... One night I happened to be listening to Gene's "A Way to Survive" CD, with Buddy on steel; probably a lot of the others Gregg listed as well. Anyway, about the 3rd time I replayed Buddy's turnaround on the title cut my daughter yelled down from upstairs, "Dad, you've got e-mail from Buddy Emmons". Quite a coincidence, since it was the first time Buddy and I were ever pen pals.

Almost as Good as the Session pickers is the Material that was recorded. Gregg gave me a heads up on this one a few weeks ago and Its definitely on my buy list. Congratulations Gregg and Buddy (The Real A Team)

If the new Gene Watson CD has Buddy and Gregg on it, then I already know that I have to have it! Gene, Buddy, and Gregg on one album together, it don't get no better than that.

I was by ET's Record Shop over by the Opry House tonight. I went there between my Opry spots to see if they had the new Gene Watson album. They didn't have it yet, but new about it and told me they would have it in September (16th, I believe). They even checked to make sure for me. However, I forgot to ask what the title of it was! Sorry!
At least we know when it will be in.

Yipppeeee!!!!
Now we have the title! Thanks Gregg! With you and Buddy on there with Gene it has got to be one of the great ones. Can't wait to get my copy. I keep all those Step One "Swing" albums and Gene's albums pretty close by "all" the time!
