Why is there never any mention of Porter
Wagoner in connection with the Hall of Fame?
His weekly TV show was a real pioneer move
and provided a showcase for many country music entertainers. I saw him leaving the
Ryman following the memorial service for Chet. He looks great and always makes a good
appearance wherever he is seen - a credit to
the country music world I think. |

Bill, Nobody needs to mention Porter. He's raising enough fuss on his own at the Opry and on the air at that. I think his day will come though. Mike P.S. I agree about his t.v. show it was a dandy. |

Being inducted into the Hall of Fame used to be a great compliment to anyone inducted. Now days, it looks more like they just want to "scoop up" as many as they can and induct them. That's demeaning, in my opinion. However, there are certainly many artist who "deservingly" should be inducted. It should be "something special" and not some kind of "class action!"
