Don't buy it for the steel licks.
However Johnny is still out there with

I used to have a JC album that had Don Helms playing all over it. It was great. I think it was titled: "Now There Was a Song." Would anyone know how to get a tape copy of it. I'd hope someone would have it in their collection.

Now There Was a Song is now available on CD. I've seen it every once in a while in the indie stores. One of the few Cash LPs with
steel.

I posted this before, but..I read an article were Johnny said "I've got nothin against steel players, just not on the stage with me".
I still am a fan, though. When I was about 9 my brother-in-law had an album
with "Understand your man" and "The Ballad of John Henry". great stuff.
