Does anyone outthere know any thing about a Takamine F-363S, the name "Takamine" on the head stock Is in the shape of MARTIN an Martin guitars. Thanks Very Much, Chuck |

Chuck,
I don't know anything about that model,but I can tell you that when Takamines were first imported to the U.S.,they were dead-on Martin copies,down to the script of the Takamine decal.
I first saw them around '73 or so,and I think they changed the Martin-looking logo within a few years (I'm fuzzy on when),I'd assume for legal reasons.
I believe they might have done a reissue on a few models,and again I'd assume they worked out a deal with Martin to use that script style.
I'd type "Takamine" into a search engine and do some surfing.There is bound to be someone with info up about the older models.In general,the 70's guitars are killer guitars for the price.I don't know about the reissues. |
