While driving enroute from Lynchburg, Va. to Portsmouth, Va. I was able to listen to the Jamboree in its entirety. I have to say that this was indeed one of the best I've heard since the last time "Big E" was on it. Of course the Star Host was Darrell McCall with David Smith on Bass, Greg Galbraith on Lead Guitar, Hank Sanger and Eddie Stubbs on Fiddles, Louis Rainsford (sp) on Keybds and the Great Mike Cass on Steel Guitar. I have to apologize to the Drummer because his name escapes me. Mike really impressed me with his taste and his playing expertise. He had great tone. He may have been playing a push/pull but, I couldn't quite convince myself that it was in fact a p/p. Whatever his chosen Steel was, it sounded great. Hats off to the entire cast and expecially Mike Cass.

Carroll Lee, your were looking g@@d as always.

KD,
That was Randy Mason playing drums with us last night. He's a multi-talent. You might have seen him working with Haggard a few years ago, playing acoustic and singing, I think. Randy's brother is also a pretty good guitar player here in Nashville!

Kenny wasn't that "Willie" Rainsford on keyboards? I didn't hear the show but I have not heard of the Rainsford you mentioned unless that's Willies real name. He is a super picker and noone can forget his Vocal version of "no relief in sight".We were batting the hatches so to speak as Huricane Gordon was due to hit us Sunday. So I missed the show I had planned to hear. Are there re broadcast?

Joe, I'm sure you're right. There was a glitch or static occaisionally and I probably mis-understood his name when the band was introduce. Thanks for the correction.
