Jenee Keener CD

Post by erik »

Just got my copy today. Wow, can that girl "saw"! Playing all around is great with Hal Rugg and Joe Wright sharing duties on steel. I am particularly fond of the steel work on cut 6. I love players who work the volume pedal while ascending the scale.

Gregg Galbraith adds a wealth of soulful picking. And worth mentioning is how enjoyable it is to hear his rhythm playing after taking a solo. This is something you never hear on Nashville recordings. Usually, with electric guitar you only hear hooks, fills, and leads.

This young lady (Jenee) has a definite future in the bizz. Get your copy if you haven't already.

I first heard Jenee Keener on the Gospel Steel Guitar Convention video for 1999. She can and does "saw" that fiddle. If you want to hear her do some great gospel with a steel get it at their web site.

Just got back from Branson. Had the privilige to see Jenee in person, perform at the OSGA Pickin' Party. She not only wowed them with her fiddle playing, but sang a great rendition of Roly Poly. She also does some vocals on her new CD, and does them well. I have seen her grow up over the last few years, and I can assure you that she will be a great talent to be reckoned with in the years to come. She is a great girl and well respected by those in the steel guitar world. Lets hope that she continues to make her presence known in the steel world for years to come.

How does one obtain her CD? I couldn't find her on Amazon or Borders, nor doing a Yahoo! search.

Thanks,
