I welcome all the comments from all.I am glad that work is still plentiful for some and there are those who have the vesitlity to adapt to other than Country music. The Pedal steel will survive as will country music. As one who made a close to 40 year run in the Country Music business I was always glad to be doing for a living what I loved doing.(yes I had a great side income also) When it started not to be fun. When the venues started closing,National Artist fading,Music changing, it was time for someone else to have the fun. Having been there and expierienced the great times and having made all the friends I have made,It was a great ride. From a Kid from northern Cal moving to Southern Cal to New England and now here ,I wouldn't have changed a thing.I always have had the respect of even Rockers when I sat in with them , they showed me respect for always being myself and not changing a thing when I would get up on their stage, and when they got up on mine. Things are changing and they have changed many times while I was doing my thing. but there is a saying ,"no matter how things change they still remain the same". Even if I changed I'd be the same.Country Music will always be the same too. Thats why I stay with the Horse that brung me.
