I heard an old record of Emmylou Harris and she was singing a song which I then heard on the sound track of a Tommy Lee Jones film in which he played the part of a prisoner who elected to die by firing squad.I don't know the name of the song or the film, but if someone can unravel this little lot I would be grateful.

I think it might be "The Executioner's song
about Gary Gilmore.

You're right Janice;

Thanks Janice & Steve,
You're right of course, the one thing that bugs me now is the title of the theme tune.

At last I have succeeded in tracing the name of the tune: 'Defying Gravity'
Thanks for helping me out.
