I particularly enjoyed the segment with Connie Smith, Marty Stuart, and Bill Anderson in the pre-show when Connie was asked by Bill what she thought about the current country music. She made an up and down swinging motion with her hand a couple of times and Bill asked what that meant, Marty said; She says the drums are too damn loud. That's at least two of us. Ken

I like the quote, "Too much wack!". I tend to agree, but what do I know - my records sell in the tens.

And I’m pleased to be among the tens, b0b.

I didn’t mention it on Bar Chatter, but the Herby Wallace / Scotty Anderson gig yesterday included a drummer who brushed a single snare drum. He was really great and into his work. He sat with his back nearly turned to the audience facing the other players. Scotty carries a great rhythm section, including one of the hardest working bass players I’ve seen. They’ve got it together and don’t cater to the line dancers – the ones that seem to only hear drums and bass.
