As stated elsewhere Danni Leigh did sound offkey. Jimmy Dickin's sounded great Charlie
Louvin made a good apearence but his voice is showing age.
As for Chad Brock I hope he will continue to improve as his song's make me think of Brad Paisley in lyrics.

Janice, I agree with you about Jimmy Dickens.
On the second show Jimmy and his band were even better! Who is his steel player? He's one of my favorites. Y'all need to check out InReview online. It's an entertainment newspaper in Nashville. Charles Earle, one of their writers is usually straight on about the B.S. coming from Music Row (He reported on "Murder on Music Row" back about 6 months ago). In his current column he writes about how bad singers with weak voices are aided by things like Pro Tools so they can sound like REAL singers. It's interesting reading!!! By the way, Connie Smith was on tonight. My wife ,who isn't a big country music fan, thought Danni Leigh should have been ashamed to have been on stage with singers like Connie on the bill!
[This message was edited by Jerry Hedge on 27 February 2000 at 12:28 AM.]

Chad Brock,Does he play for the TiTans?Nice to see Charlie Louvin ,It would be nicer if he retired. It's time Charlie. It's time because most of the Artist are all the same Ages and entertainment Value. There could be a rash of quick finishes."Willie Nelson after Taxes" still gets it done,Having a good band does not hurt.Danni Leigh, find a key.

I didn't even turn the Opry on last night. IMHO Jimmy D. never did sound good and needs to be gone along with C. Louvin. I'm sure they are both great guys but they don't help promote country music with all of the new challenges that it faces as have been discussed here in the past.
They did pretty good for a few weeks then backslid again.
