Looks like a great line up. I always enjoy listening to Mandy Barnett because the girl has talent.

It looked like there was something for everyone tonight.
First of all there was an excelent camera shot of Donna Hammit with Bill Anderson.

Mandy's performence of Faded Love made me think of the old kenoscopes(?) of Patsy Cline. I would love to know her album sales for this week.

Del McCurry and band are certinly deserving as bluegrass act of the year.

Let's hope Charlee Tennison stays country.

That was an unexpected number from Jack Green
and I will look at a few notes for a tribute
to Pee Wee King.

Janice,

How long has Donna Hammitt been with Bill Anderson's Po' Folks Band? I've seen her many times before. I can remember when she won a Peavey Nashville 400 amp in an open competition at one of Jeff Newman's June Jams back 10 years ago or more. She is very, very good.

Nice to see a tribute to the great Pee Wee king whose health is not the best these days according to freinds who keep in touch with the Legend. Pretty good show, I was sort of hoping to hear Johnny Cox take a ride on the Mandy Barnett song.It would be nice if the format would be an hour instead of the Half hour show. Oh well something is better then nothing. PS Pete Fisher Re admit Marty Martel to the backstage reporting crew.

What did you think of Jack Green using the intro licks to Statue of a Fool on the tag of Tennessee Waltz? Pretty Cool!

I had a post about Mandy being featured on "Sunday Morning"....Johnny Cox thought he may have been the steel player featured on this segment.....and this was my question...
cause the steel player camera shot was a profile one.......and the stage lights were subtle.....so I wasn't sure who it was. Looked like Hal Rugg. Will definitely watch the Opry tonite.
