I got tuned in too late for Johnny's opening number and Joe Diffie. Dr Ralph was one proud guy and patty did a nice acknowledgement of certain angels cheering from above.
Trisha and reba's current singles were decent.

Billie Walker looked great in his blue suit.
He knew the second verse of the song but i was destracted by the backup singers with cue sheets.

I didn't Get back from the football game in time to watch re_run or original telecast.I Think Billy Walker still got the Pipes,Sometimes when I close my Eyes I think Of Marty Robbins,He could voice a sound track if they ever made Marty's Life.Did Billy Johnson and Ron Cochoran back him up?Didn't see Ron the last few times Walker was on.

Billy Johnson was there with Mr. Walker as ususal, But Ronnie wasn't. There was a guy way in the back, playing a doghouse bass, but it definitely wasn't him. Hope he's ok.
Suppose it has anything to do with the restrictions on the number of band members allowed? I wonder!

Hey! Whats going on here? I thought Reba had to do her show with four band members? We'll see how far that rule flys.

The reason Ronnie was not there last night was there was a death in his wifes family. I enjoyed the ryman stage though.Kinda wish I'd been here for the good old Ryman days. But that would make as old as (Mr.Smiley) First time Billys pulled out that old song,No rehearsal, hope it sounded ok! No cuts have come our way,(unless you've heard something).I would'nt be surprised though.Thought I'd share this bit of news: Due to circumstances out of his control,Hank Corwin will not be returning with Porter.Fred Newell is his replacement. Hank will surely be missed out there, personally & professionally, Billy

I believe it would help " Classic Country" if the Traditional Country singers would do some of their other songs. The times Ive seen Johnny Russell he sings the same old song"Act naturally" and Billy Walker sings "Across the Brazos at Waco" I believe thats the name of that song I grab the remote so fast to mute it so therefore I dont know for sure what the name is.I WILL BE WAITING FOR A TONGUE LASHING...Huey
