I'm looking to purchase a roundneck tricone. Are the new Regals, like this one, Ebay #2533575623, any good? What would be a reasonable ceiling, bidwise? That is, if they're any good.
Thanks much,
John

I haven't heard or read much about Regal tricones, but Regal guitars generally seem to get better reviews that most of the other lower-priced resonators.

If you want to ask some people who have very strong opinions about roundneck tricones, check out The Guitar Forum.

I bought a Regal Tricone from Folk of the Wood last Winter. They couldn't get the plain one at that time so they gave me a good deal on the "Wild Rose" engraved model. I think it is an excellent guitar. It has an overlay on the headstock and really looks sharp. I plan to put a raised nut on it and play it with a bar but haven't gotten that far yet.
