Hi Rick - After a year of playing D-10's (again) I went back to the U-12. I have both an Emmons and a Zum D-10 and would gladly take yours in trade on either (or both) as I sold my MSA "The Universal" last year and regret it. It was very similar to yours.

Hello,
Am interested, can you tell me the weight of just the steel by itself (not with case)?
Thanks. parrbryan@hotmail.com

I would like to say that Richard's guitars are top notch and he takes good care of them. The weight of those models is 39 LBS out of the case with 8/5.That is a beautiful MSA U12...al Image

Parr,
I'm guessing about 40 lbs, but I don't have an exact weight on it.

Thanks,

Rick

Hello Rick,
That is one beautiful MSA. I looked long and hard at it last year when Richard first had it up for sale. Does it still have the Day setup? I keep thinking about trying out the U tuning.

I had Bud Carter swap the A and C pedals, but it wouldn't be hard at all to put them back. It still has the same setup that Richard had on it when I got it other than that.

I haven't gigged with it yet, so it's been in my living room since I bought it in Oct. The only time it's been out of the house was when I took it to Bud!

Thanks
Rick

Rick - I'm going to pass on this one and restore the sunburst model I told u about. Hope somebody jumps on it though. IMHO one of the best guitars ever made, and yours is one of the prettiest! Thanks for the info...

This is the nicest vintage MSA I have ever seen! I got it through Reece a few years ago. Yes, it had the Day setup when I sold it. I only sold it because it was collecting dust as I have a few Milleniums in my arsenal and found it was never getting played. If you are a collector, this is a must, so don't pass it up!
[This message was edited by Richard Gonzales on 28 April 2006 at 04:40 AM.]

T.T.T. One more time on this one. Any interest? I have located a steel that I plan on getting, but can't get it until I sell this one. If you have sent me an e-mail about this one, please resend, I have had problems with my e-mail over the past week.

Thanks, Rick
