Here is a little treat for all you Al Marcus fans out there. Al now has a web page with some of the great old photos and memories of his mucic career! Al's Grandaughter's husband, Russ Yoder, set up a small page for
Al, a couple of years ago. I have been helping Al add photos and tweak it a little, and Al has asked me to formally introduce it to the Forum. Take a look, and tell Al what you think! Here is the link:

Very enjoyable reading, loved the cool pictures. The old set lists reminded me of alot of old songs I like to blow on sax. I tried to e-mail Al to tell him how much I liked his site, but couldn't get the page to come up? Thanks Bill and tell Al thanks for sharing...

Al's web site is incredible! All younger pickers (which includes all of us under 82!) should take a look at it. Al has spanned a huge amount of steel guitar history, from playing Hawaiian and big band jazz and pop standards in the '40s on non-pedal and pedal steels of the day, to playing country music on modern pedal steels from the '60s right up until today. He has photos and descriptions of his past and present guitars, bands and music. Finally he has used all that history and experience to suggest very interesting universal E6 tunings for 10 and 12 string pedal steels. He gives these copedents and discusses them.

Way to go Al! What a life, and what a web site! It is so great to put a face and a whole history to your name on the Forum.

Glad you liked it, David, if you get a chance, why not add a comment to Al's guest page...Bill
