Rickenbacher Model B7 For Sale or Trade

Post by Ian Campbell »

I am looking to trade my 1937 Rickenbacher Model B 7 string lap steel for a Fender Stringmaster Double 8. The Fender I am looking to trade for would be the shorter scale version, mid to late fifties [1959 would be good] in good condition with case.

The Rickenbacher is in good condition, PU was rewound by Jason Lollar 3 years ago, pots and jack have been replace with good quality components. Volume and tone konbs are not original but look and fit well. Chrome is worn and could use replating if you want a mint looking guitar. Top is is clean and shows some wear, back is clean with a few easily visible scratches. Tuning machines are original and show no signs or sticking or sliping. Guitar sounds great, plays great, 7 strings are quite hard to come by. There are no chips or cracks in the bakelite.

I am thinking of trading as my gig requirements need a console style guitar and having had a 1953 25" scale Stringmaster T8 in the past I think I would like to get another one. Economics prevent having both, such is life.

How much for the Rick. I sold a 7 string years ago and regret it. Buck<font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Buck Dilly on 06 June 2005 at 12:11 AM.]</p></FONT>
