Can anybody help me with the very fast sequence of notes played by the steel over the C#minor chord which runs from 55 seconds through 60 seconds into this song?

I think I've got the ascending part figured out but not the descending part. Of course, execution is a different matter altogether!

Thanks...

That's a fantastic song!

I'm afraid my ear isn't trained enough yet to be happy picking out that sequence, but I'd be very interested to see what you've got so far Ted for my own practice and hopefully someone will be able to help us with the rest of it.

well I've been wanting to give something back to the Forum so here it is, my take..

I hear 3 things going on with this phrase, 3 elements which I do play often.

The phrase is taken off of the 7th fret AB pedals, E, and resolves to the E on the 3rd fret AF position. It may not be exact but it's in the neighborhood.

break it down into 3 components..

I have posted the TAB on my website .

mp3 http://www.tprior.com/R1_world.MP3

tab http://www.tprior.com/world1.txt.

the tab does not show the glisses so be sure to add them..

good luck, this one is not really a LICK, it's a career !

Tony,

Thanks so much for posting the MP3 and tab of the lick. We agreed exactly on your part 1, and your take on the other two parts nails it really close I think. It's such a great passage, both note-wise and timing-wise, but I've spent so much time studying it already, I really appreciate your help!
