Elderly Instruments in Lansing sells the Roger Filiberto E7th lap steel book . Steel Guitar Forum members Herby Wallace and Don Curtis of Scotty's music sell book/tape sets of E7th lap steel arrangements of standards. I like E7th on a 7 string , that low E root on the seventh string really helps me plus only 2 string changes and I have C#minor tuning for the Santo Farina stuff.I wish thewre were more arrangements available . Jerry Byrd may have some too although I'm not sure

Wouldn't E& just be two frets back from E9th So thechnically you could play any e9th as E7 by lowerinc say E to D G# to F ETC. Hey I'm a novice so if I'm wrong send money, But if I understand the theory E9th is I believe four frets for C6th
