Well, Ricky Davis isn’t the only Lloyd Green freak out there with some spare time Here’s my contribution. A Lloyd Green fill in “I Know One” on Charlie Pride’s “Live At Panther Hall” A cool move from the 1 to lV chord leading into the first “B” section of the song.

I’ve just finished tabbing everything Lloyd did in Shutters and Boards from the same record. Before I put it on the forum, I’d like someone to volunteer to check it for accuracy. Ricky Davis perhaps? Thanks.

Jon, that is one beautiful phrase, thank you!
And thanks for making me pull out that Panther Hall album again. It's so beautiful.
Hey, I even figured out Lloyd's first lick after Charlie starts singing the words, it's just a simple little A7 thing, but it's kinda cool.
A7
1-------------------------
2-------------------------
3-------------------------
4--11R~~11~~10~~~~~8R-----
5-------------------------
6--11~~~11~~10(B)~~8------
7-------------------------
That's how I figured it, anyway. Thanks!

I got to meet Lloyd Green when I first started playing and he gave me what I concider the single most important concept to understanding the steel neck. "Learn how to play every phrase in at least 3 different ways". In that spirit:
1.
2.
3.
4. 15L 16L 15L
5. 15 15A 15
6. 16B 15B 15B 15
7. 15
8. 10 12 13L 15L 15L
9.
10.10 12A 13A 15
1.
2.
3.
4. 13LL 14LL 13LL 11LL 10
5. 13A 14 13 11A 10A
6.5B 8 8 10 13
7. 8
8.5 8LL 10 13LL
9.
10.
I think this is right. LL means 1/2 step raise.

Still panning for gold in this cut.
When Lloyd finishes his turnaround, he does this nice little walkup from the D chord to G
....D...........G
1--------------------
2--5LL~~4------------
3---------------3----
4----------5---------
5---------------3----
6--5B~~4B--5B--------
7--------------------
8--------------------
9--------------------
