King of the Road-Chalker

Post by Kirk P Dighton »

Has anyone tabbed out or even attempted the Chalker version of King of the Road? His playing on that is incredible. Although I will never match it, I would sure like the challenge to come close.

Thanks. Kirk

Chalker style is really difficult to tab but Scotty has some talk tapes that Russ Weaver did that are pretty good. Check out Scotty's. I believe Danny Boy, King of the Road, and Steelin' the Blues are all Curly Chalker style.

I found a Tommy White talk through tape of this song. It is kind of close, not exactly like Chalker. But then again, who could come close. Thanks guys.

Kirk, where did you find that? Does Tommy sell that or someone else?

I found it in a bunch of stuff that I got from a friend several years ago. I have no clue where it is from.

** I mispoke on this. It is a Paul Franklin instruction tape. Sorry for the confusion
[This message was edited by Kirk P Dighton on 20 January 2006 at 06:28 AM.]
