A while back someone had a TE question about how to eliminate the rests at the beginning of a song when there are "pick up notes".

The latest TE update v2.60b9 allows you to specify a "pick-up measure", which gets rid of those pesky unwanted rests at the beginning of a song. Click on Score | Time Signature | Pick up Measure

I am a Johnny come lately to this TAB section.

Doug, I would be interested in knowing what software program you use for your tabs?

Does it print tablature to the notes or notes to the tablature? Or both ways?

Any information that would help me decide if it was a program that I could use and benefit from.

Don,
The program is Tabledit.
You can input notes or numbers. You can choose to print either or both. It also plays the music.

Matthieu, the developer or the program is not a Steeler, but he asked us for a lot of advice on what we needed, right here, about 5 years ago.

Do a search for TABLEDIT in this section to see how it happened.
