Is there a way to write professional looking Tablature on a page with 10 string staffs...like using a computer for the job? Thanks.

Leila, I use TablEdit, which is a Tab/notation program for all string instruments. The program has a Pedal Steel Guitar mode. It's fairly complicated to use, but it produces some nice looking tab/notation. Click Here to see a sample from my SteelTab page. I also use this program for dobro, lap steel, bass, and guitar tab for my students.

There's also ClicTab, which I don't know much about. I think it's for tablature only, no notes, but I'm not sure about that.

Doug,

Thanks for the free "Away in a Manger" tab! Now I know why I'm not using the TablEdit...if its hard for you its been impossible for me. I just went to check out the ClicTab site and wrote to the owner to ask about user-friendliness. Thanks so much for the tip!

Tabledit isn't that bad. It does take some getting used to.

It also plays the music.
Not any great sounds, but good enough to tell if you keyed it in correctly.

You can input as notation or Tab. You often have to correct he Tab, since it gives the correct note, but not an optimal position.

I like it.

Another vote for TablEdit here. And it's good for many instruments.

Leila, One of the forumites from time to time posts a link to download 10 string tab paper. I just go to the link and when I see that tab lines, I just save it to my hard drive then load it up and copy it to Notebook (windows). Then when thats done, i print it out and actually tab what I want, like the tabs that I e-mailed you then when thats done, I transfer it to the tab staff on the computer.

Gregg,

What do you mean when you say, 'I transfer it to the tab staff on the computer'? Thanks
