E9 Boot Hee Drag

[Boot HeeL!!!] [Or is it Boot Hill Image ]
Hi all,

I've been playing this from Ricky's old C6 tab (posted years ago_ and thought I'd offer it in E9. I have made a few little changes, so I'll give credit for what's right to Ricky and I'll take the blame for anything that's wrong!

Just another thought on this song. Years ago I got the tab for this song from Herb Remington who did the song in a C#m tuning. To come close to this engage the "A" (B to C#). I lowered the 10th string to an "E" so the low slide could be played. Just something to think about.

Thanks Doyle: I'll try lowering the 10th string: cool idea in general!

I've heard this title a few times but I don't think I've ever heard the song.
Who did a version that would compare to this tab?
Anybody have an MP3 they could send me?

Thanks

Jay

Hi Jay,

this is based (as closely as I could; which may not be saying much) on a 1950 Bob Wills recording with Hal Clampitt on steel guitar. Buddy Emmons also recorded the song on his Bob Wills tribute album (the title of the album escapes me)
