Herby Wallace has it in his "Approach to C6th". I highly recommend this course.

Terry,
How do you have your C6th neck set up?
I could maybe whip you up a tab. I have a G on top and use 5 knee levers.
Let me know.

Hey Erv, that would be very kind of you. I use an D on top though. pedal 5 lowers G(5th string) to F# pedal 6 lowers E (6 string)to D# and raises E (2nd string) to F. then I have a knee lever RKL that lowers C (3rd string) to B
that's all I use on C6 at the present.

Terry, the other three songs on Herby's course, Dear Heart, Just a Closer Walk with Thee, and Misty, are outstanding renditions. The latter two songs are two plus and three pages each. In addition, the chords, scales, progressions, and intros on the other 37 pages make this a steal for $30. steve |

Sorry Erv, I meant I had a D on top, not an E.
Steve, I agree with ya, it's a steal, but I have a bunch of C6 stuff on video by Jeff Newman, and cassett by Herby wallace, I just want a good Gospel song to learn on C6.

Terry:
Download all of the Danny Boy that's listed here. In 1966, Dottie Rambo wrote new lyrics to this song and called it "He looked Beyond my Fault". I've played this one numerous times in church (in E9th). The Chalker C6th version is posted here and also has the mp3 file so it should be learnable. It's a great song and done correctly has great emotion to it. It has been one of my favorites over the years. |

Terry,
If you would like to play it in E9th, I think "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" will be my free gospel tab for Sept.

Most folks respect the author's copyright, and support his efforts by purchasing his material instead of begging for a free copy. Maybe you should change the spelling of "Steelin" in your signature! |

Also, this song is a fairly easy tune to play on C6th. So if you need to have it tabbed out maybe you're not spending enough time with the other C6th material you have. Don

Now now Mr Smith, no need in gettin all hot under the collar. if you don't want to SHARE your copy with me that's ok.
I call it sharin, not steelin mr Smith.
You see, some of us folk that draw small disabillity checks, just can't afford to buy a $30+ steel guitar course, just to get one song. God bless

I agree that one has a right to protect your labour via copyright. Although I am not a regular C6th player I nevertheless decided to tab my rendition of this great number, and sent Terry a copy.
Great to see a posting by Dag Wolf. I absolutely love his backup playing.
Regards to all.

Anyway, can I share your car?
