Anyone have tablature for nightlife on C6th. I am not sure if it was Jimmy Day or Buddy Emmons who did the original. I have a tape of Emmons doing an instrumental version. Increibly beautiful.

Ricky, I'm still looking for a tab of Buddy Emmons' breaks on the bridge...you know, after:

"Listen to the blues they're playin'..." and "Listen to what the blues are sayin'"...

Any help?

Hey Bud; yeah I never tabbed that part, only the intro and solo.
Good luck.

Hey Ricky, if memory serves (which it doesn't do as often anymore), Buddy played what I would call "rakes" on the bridge. What technique do you guys use for muting rakes? Fast bar movement?

I start the rake with the finger pick on the highest note and the Thumb pick on the lowest note....than I rake down quickly with the finger; than mute with the side of my hand the raked notes just before I hit the thumb pick note. Than of course you can mute the thumb pick note or continue on with that note being the first of the next consecutive notes.
