Does anyone have a tab for "Ol' 55", "Best of My Love", or "Girl From Yesterday". Any one interested or know of anyone who takes requests for tab'ing out PSG parts for $$$? I'm particularly interested in '70's country rock genre, ie Byrds, Burrito Brothers, Poco, NRPS, Fool's Gold etc.

Rusty Young tabs several of his solos in his PSG instruction book. Sorry, the name of it slips my mind at the moment.

Rusty's book is titled, "The Pedal Steel Handbook". It shows up on eBay from time to time. I don't know if there is any new stock to be found for sale or not.

It's been out of print for years-you'll have to get lucky to find a copy-or talk someone out of theirs.

Thanks Keith! I contacted Terry and he's working up the tab for the Eagles' tunes now. I did a little research into the Rusty Young book. Clive, there's one on eBay now. Also, I contacted a Poco memorabilia collector who has one and offered to copy it for me, but I'm not big on that. If anybody wants the contact, you can email me.

Hi,

I was able to get my local library to get a copy of it (from another library). I read it all, made notes and photocopied some material (for personal research only).

Beware that the Pedals are setup C,B,A according to the way I play anyway.

I enjoyed the book. Rusty Young has a great sense of humor and it come through.

By the way, why are we discussing Rusty Young, when the request for for Eagles Tab? I couldn't find anyplace he was listed on their recorded material. Is he doing something with the current Eagles band?

I should have cleaned my trifocals before reading the post. I missed the last line completely.

There are some postings you are looking for:

Ricky & Rebel have several Byrds, NRPS and other song clips and tabs. Not every sound clip has tab. Link is: http://users.interlinks.net/rebel/steel/steel.html
Tabs are organized by year - hint you can search for a specific title in the alphabetic listings - use CLT F to search for a band name rather than song title.

Dick's Licks (maintained by John Arnold) has several rocking licks from Buddy Cage, Garcia and BE. Link is: http://home.earthlink.net/~johnbarnold/licksarchive/

I'm interested in same - I cannot believe I missed your original request!!!

The copy of the Rusty Young book on ebay last week fetched $128. Anyone tempted to sell their copy?

Sure, I'll sell my copy for that, and I'll throw in shipping to boot - USPS book rate, that is!
