E69 Diatonic Scales and Guitar Map

Post by Karlis Abolins »

In another post I said that I had used guitar map to explore the E9th guitar and found some neat relationships. Here is a layout of my experimental E69 Diatonic tuning using the guitar map software.

The only things familiar about the layout are the A, B, LKR, and RKL pedals. Everything else is designed to easilly get the harmonized major scale across the neck at a single fret and to get the harmonized major scale (with 7ths and 9ths) up the fretboard on the same strings. Here is the G Major harmoized scale at the third fret. The root is in the top position.

Here is the same scale starting at the third fret and ending at the 15th fret on the same strings. Notice the spare use of pedals (minor 3rd and diminished 5th).
