Question for Ricky Davis
Ricky, I noticed on your copedent on your other website that you lower your 6th string to G with a lever. Would you mind giving an example of how you use this change? Thanks.
Dave

It is indeed a Great Place and what makes it so are the Great Folks that come on here like Knight's Of The Round Table offering all sorts of information and help along with the best of manners and courtesy. It's been asked on the Forum and I have wondered the same question myself for years: ARE ALL STEELERS GOOD GUYS ?? See for yourself....

Hey thanks Dave and Paul for the nice words and glad to help out.
Hey Clive I'm not ignoring you pal...I've been in studio all day and got to hit the sack to make that 8:30am tee time...but I'll hopefully have time to jot some things down for you in no time pal.
Oh and I don't have this change on my guitar nor will I on my new Fulawka....which you can see my copedant on the "Rebel and Ricky" site..
But I know I can plop a couple of things down for ya as soon as I get a hour to think about it.....ha.

Ok here are some ideas for the pedal 4 that lowers 5th and 6th strings a whole tone.
<font face="monospace" size="2"><pre>
(harmony scale from G to C)
3._____________
4._____________
5.___3(4)~3~~3a
6._3_3(4)~3~~3b
7._____________
8._3___________
</pre></font>
<font face="monospace" size="2"><pre>
(some chord changes and movements)
G Em7orC9 chord
3._______________
4._10~~~~~~~~~~~~
5._10a~~10~~10(4)
6._10b~~10~~10(4)
7._______________
8._______________
</pre></font>
<font face="monospace" size="2"><pre>
G7 G6 G7 G6 G7/9 C
3.______________________
4._8L~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~8
5._8~~~8~~8(4)~~8~~8a~~8
6._8B~~8~~8(4)~~8~~8b~~8
7.______________________
8.______________________
</pre></font>
That is pretty basic and gives you the idea and theory behind that pedal 4. But doing these moves and understanding what the notes are and their value to the chord and where they are going by using this pedal; will help you add and use this pedal more in your style of playing..."you might even come up with some stuff for yourself that works cool for you.
Have fun and hope that helps.
