Buddy's "Blues To Use" course added

Post by Ernie Renn »

I added Buddy's 1983 C6 course to the website. Buddy said it was okay to do so, because it's out-of-print. Cool, eh! Check it out!

Thanx Ernie,
I gave it a listen and it makes for a neat little instrumental. Of course, playing this is way out of my league right now. Maybe in a hunnert years or so, HA-HA....

Ernie,
Whenever you get the chance, please say a big "Thank you, Sir" to Buddy for submitting this to us. Being a big blues-fan it's one of the most inspiring courses I've found so far, and on top of that : It's free !! Amazing, really.

Thanks alot.

Very, very cool blues.

I thought it interesting that he didn't use the 10th string at all.

Thanks....I just wish that I could save the audio portion. My RA runs the clip then has to be reset to run it again.

Steve;
The address of the Real Audio file: http://www.buddyemmons.com/images/BluesToUseRealAudio.rm
Copy and paste it into the Real Audio player. It will download the file. Then click file and save. If you don't re-direct to the file from a text file saved as a rm file, it won't stream. If it doesn't stream while downloading, that is why.

Thanks so much for the "Blues to Use" tab and audio file. Thanks to Buddy too. Don't forget to stop by when you get to Nashville again.

Jeremy;
I suppose it could be put into Tabledit. I just scanned the tab book on this one. (Actually I scanned the photocopies. I had to make them smaller to fit onto the scanner.)
After it has been available for a while, I may offer a file to download of tabs, rather than posting the tab pictures. Tabledit is really cool, but it might be a while until enough people have it to make it worthwhile to do it in that format.

Jeremy,
Why don't you do it?
If you use the #/b convention, rather than numbering the pedals and naming levers, the result would be useful for everyone. Shouldn't take more than a half hour, if you're accustomed to the program.

Just a thought.

Wish I could do it.

I am very used to using the program. More than 30 minutes work though as I would do the chord backup, a bass guitar and drums as well. Perhaps 45 minutes....but Im on tour and popping in from CiberCafes.

If noone has done it when I get back then I plan to.
