Here is some of the ways I use the knee-lever that drops 9th D-C# and 2nd Eb-D-C#.
Most examples use the 9th string lower so I'll try to post another with more 2nd string examples.

Something really nice about having the 2nd Eb-D-C# and 9th D-C#.
1 The Major-scale can be harmonized on the top strings.
2 On the low strings you can play all maj7,min7,min7b5,diminished and augmented as full chords.
