I would like to get a few more "Jimmy Day" style licks that are preferably on the 3,4,5 and 4,5,6 string groups for example.I know a few of them, but I'll take all the variations I can get my hands on.I'm wanting the licks that make the steel sound like it's mimicking the feelings of a sad line in a song in a John Hughey way,if that makes sense. These licks really make the steel come alive.Any replies that anyone has will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Jay,
There is a great site out there called Rebel and Ricky's steel tab. I am on my laptop right now and do not have the line but you should be able to find it easily. There is a lot of tab there as well as sound bites so you can hear the phrasing as well as see just the notes. I just learned Jimmy's version of "Farewell Party" which is absolutely gorgeous and has IMHO all those elements which made Jimmy a legend in his own lifetime. I will never play it like him or come close but it will open a new dimension for you in steel playing. At least it did for me.
I think that there are some other JD tunes on the site as well.
Regards and hope this helps.
