Led Zeppelin tabs?

Post by Matt Farrow »

Hi, I saw the tabbed intro to "Stariway To Heaven" on here a while ago, and I was wondering if anyone had dome any of the PSG tabs for any other Zep tunes, specifically "Your Time Is Gonna Come," from LZI, and "Tangerine" and "That's The Way" from LZIII?

Thanks a bunch
Matt Farrow

Well, here goes nuttin'! I think this is one of the first songs I figured out the first week I had my Emmons student model. It may not be exactly what Page did, but it's pretty close. This oughtta get ya started. It's just the same lick over and over for the most part, then an octave higher after the lead break. Once I get a chance to fool around with the lead, I'll post it as well. Comments welcome! I don't do this too often and need all the advise I can get!

Thanks! This is for "Tangerine," right? I think the lead is regular slide guitar, and I think I know most of that. I usually play that on lap steel, anyway, because that rig is set up with more of a dirty tone, and my pedal steel rig is set up for clean.

Anyway I really appreciate the tab. Seems my biggest challenge in playing steel as a new player is knowing what pedals / knees to use when. I never think of the knee lever (I only have 1...) until it's too late.

Thanks

PS I wonder if your Emmons student model is like mine? S10, 3&1, no neck, walnut burl mica, wooden pedalboard.

Sounds like it! Didn't look quite right to me without the neck but ti sure had the tone! Probably one of the nest sounding guitars I ever owned. Oh and yeah, this is for Tangerine. Thats the way is pretty easy too, will tab that out for ya next chance I get. Let me know how this one works for ya.

Take Care

Well, I tried 4 guitars before I bought this one, a ZB student model (nice thick sound but HORRIBLE action,) 2 Sho-Buds, and an older Emmons S10 on a double frame with 3&4, and this one sounded the best, plus it was $800 cheaper than the other Emmons...

Thanks for the tab! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Matt
