ANYONE GOT THE KICK OFF TO WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS AND YES I DID BUY ETs TAPE BUT THE BAND LEADER SAID I AM NOT DOING IT RIGHT GOT THE BREAK REAL EASY THOUGHT I WAS DOING WHAT BUDDY C DID OR CLOSE BUT NOW I THINK THE GUYS HAVE TALKED ME OUT OF WHAT I THOUGHT WHAS RIGHT!

Al, until someone that plays steel can show you that you're doing it wrong, keep on doing what your ear tells you is right. Don't let them talk you out of it. Still, if your ear tells you that you are wrong, don't give up, keep trying to find the right way. You will know when its right.

Al, Kenny's absolutely right - "keep on doing what YOUR ear tells you is right". Here's what I've been using - and I don't think that it is 'correct', but it sounds OK to me... maybe some of the Gurus can clear this up for the two of us.
BTW -
'L'=lower E string
'A'=raise B string

motion down to the 9th fret and back up
Also...
Could you post what you're doing for the intro so we can compare..? I do have one other approach that I use - I'll try to tab it tonight and post it as soon as I'm done.
