Ending for new steelers

Post by tim duvall »

again, like myself I need simple stuff. Here is an ending that works on almost any song and any open fret position. Kinda worked it out from David Spires new CD. He used it on Amazing Grace. Ex. in key of G
On fret 3 with pedals A-B down, play strings 3-4-5. Lift the pedals and depress pedals B-C and play strings 4-5-6. with B-C down, add whichever knee lever that lowers a string, and then let off of the knee lever and the pedals at the same time. Sounds best if you let the strings ring instead of damping.

Tim, that's a good lick. For a similar lick, try doing the same thing, but instead of using the knee lever, after depressing the b/c pedals down, & while the strings are still sustaining, slowly rock halfway off the c pedal then release both the b & c all the way at the same time.
