It's a shame that such a great steel break is stuck in such a horrible song. For a long time, I instinctively changed the station about half way through the first chorus. Then I'd remember that great steel break and change it back, and endure the song until the break.

It rivals "This Kiss" as the worst song of the NCS... excuse me I mean HNC radio format.

Back to the topic, the break almost sounds double-tracked to me. Does anyone know if it was actually played in a single pass? I only know that it's beyond my ability...

I worked this one out about five years ago. I will say that unless you can play those top four strings real clean, and at a pretty good clip, then this is not an easy one to pull off. Sonny never ceases to amaze me. I'll have to say that he has and is playing some of the most taste-ful stuff going.

Hey b0b I haven't listened or heard this song at all; but you metioned that it sounds like Sonny doubled tracked? Sonny has done probably more double track/twin harmony recording than single track. So without even hearing this cut; and you think you may of heard a double track> you can almost count on it from Sonny Garish.>good ears b0b.!!

Most of my recording is making Karoke tapes under the StarTracks brandname produced by Omega Sound, Ft Smith, Arkansas. When a song appears to be moving up the charts it is produced and I play the steel tracks. I have to play the stuff as close to the original as possible and this was one of the most difficult solo's I have had to copy.
