I don't know of such a site myself. I've thought of trying to do something like this myself, but work, family and music always gets in the way.

That would be a great idea. Home made lap steel builders and someone interested in making a purchase over the internet of a particular model, could have all the specs. If the audio samples used like a 65 Deluxe Reverb with the same settings on all the samples, you could really compare. Plus, I wouldn't have to e-mail Brad and bug him about what kind of wood his National Dynamic was made of! Well Brad, what kind of wood is it made of?...
