I recently acquired a new "parts" steel that seems to have a marlen undercarriage. But,every time i press the a pedal down it make a weird squeaking noise that's not normal. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Look at all the pivot points on the linkage, pedal and so on. Check out the forum information on lubrication of your steel. Lots of moving parts that require a drop of lubrication. Do not use WD 40.
