Wish I had the extra cash. I'm coming from the dobro/lap steel world. But the more I hear 12 strings played, that's what I think I want.

Yeah, I actually am delving into the 8-string lap steel world and it's exactly like what you're saying with the 6th note. Basically G6. I like it. Just so used to 6 strings on the dobro that, I forget the E between the D & G and have to back up and punt, lol.
