Hey.....just curious if anyone owns, or has tried, the Recording King RM-991-S tricone? I'm interested in possibly picking up a sub $1k tricone, and have had good luck with Recording King Phil Ledbetter dobro and RK-R35 banjo.
Thoughts? Likes? Dislikes?
Thanks!

I played one that belonged to the late Ralph Carney a few years back. It was a perfectly decent instrument, with the classic tricone sound. I don't think he had done any upgrades to it, but I liked it anyway.

Some cheap open gear 2L + 2R Machine heads, worked fine now for some 7+ years.Jack Hanson wrote:Mine has suffered the same fate.
