Paul Franklin Sr turns 90 on 10/24/23..
Hi Everybody!
Since this is a big one for my father I wanted to publicly wish Paul Sr/my father the happiest of birthdays! Dad's is doing great other than sometimes forgetful of things so we remind his memory along the way...Dad still lights up talking about the people he met through steel guitars and telling us his childhood memories of "Back in the good ole days"...
I was touring the other day when Lloyd and Eddy Dunlap payed Dad a visit. And then David Jackson passed on a big hug through a call we had..When I called later that day to tell him of David's well wishes he was also excited to tell me who he just saw...Its moments like Lloyd and Eddie's visit and David's call that makes his day...
Join if you like to help Darrell, Theresa, Brian, and yours truly wish Dad a Happy Birthday. We will print this out as the perfect Birthday gift!

Happy Birthday MR. Franklin! It would be such a great honor for me to get to meet you sir, but a least I got the next best thing. I got to meet your son, and he autographed my steel guitar seat. Thank you for your brilliant work with the steel guitar. May the Good Lord bless you and your family.

Happy Birthday Mr. Franklin
Happy Birthday Sir, I hope you have a GREAT ONE! Thanks again for the Guitar you built for me sometime in 1993 and later added pedals and did a tune up for me when I was going to Bel Mount and playing for Lonnie Jones. You were always so helpful and a TRUE GENTLEMAN. Happy Birthday and here's to many more.

Only spoke to your Dad once in the early 80's when I was thinking about buying a new Franklin... and if it says anything I still remember that conversation and what we talked about. I sure understand the challenges that his age has on him as my Dad will be 93 in Dec and has the same challenges. So Happy Birthday Mr Franklin, and thank you for helping make the Pedal Steel community what it is today, you have a Legacy worthy of admiration.

Happy Birthday Mr. Franklin. A father is judged by the son he raises. Clearly you knocked that one out of the park. You are truly blessed with the love of family, friends, and those of us, like myself, who you have never met but whose lives have been so enriched by you being in the world.

Paul, I hope your Dad has a great birthday! I remember meeting him at the 2003 International Steel Guitar Convention! Both of you are an inspiration to me, and many steel guitarists!

Happy Birthday Mr. Franklin! I spoke to you years ago over the phone when I was inquiring about a new guitar but you were backed up and about to retire as soon as the last one was completed. You talked to me like we’d known each other for years and gave me a lot of good advice. The best advice was for me to take care of myself and not suffer the pitfalls that so many musicians do. When I got off the phone, I thought to myself, what a good ole boy. Happy Birthday and thank you for all your contributions and hard work.
