"Stranger Things Have Happened"-Brandy Williams-Mike Johnson

Post by Jeff Garden »

***Revised 2/13/21***
"Stranger Things Have Happened" is from Brandy Williams' 2013 album "Honky Tonks and Heartaches". Great song, great voice, and great Mike Johnson steel. I'm sure Brandy wants to sound like herself but there's lots of hints of Ashley Monroe, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack, and Pam Tillis in her voice and it's perfect for classic country.
I initially posted this back in 2019 but took another look at Mike Johnson's break at 2:14 and added the intro and ending licks today. Hope it's close... Questions, comments and corrections always welcome.
Here it is on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDO5Jl9b1LQ
