Junior Brown string gauges?

Post by Scott Rogers »

Does anyone know the string gauges JB uses in his version of C6? (7th on the low end, G on the top).

Thanks!

I saw him play last year here in Columbia, MO and had a chance to ask him. He told me: standard C6 gauge and really strong hands for all the bending. His handshake demonstrated the strong grip as well.

Well that explains it!

Watching his bends made me think they were smaller gauges

Me, too. I can't get all those bends on my Stringmaster, maybe practice harder?

Yep, it gets confusing. I thought I just recently read in another thread here that JrB uses a "high C13" tuning which would put the gauges up in the E tuning territory.
